Secret: Power up the intensity…and your diet

How to do it…

Thabeet’s trainer, Tom Vachet, put the number-two pick through some intense workouts to prepare him for the NBA season.  Vachet says, “Don’t skip meals, and don’t eat less. The more you eat, the more you’ll burn–if you’re training and eating right.”  Here’s what Thabeet eats around his workouts:

  • Pre-workout (30 minutes before) – 16 ounces of juice with 3 ounces of chicken breast, or juice with a scoop of whey protein
  • Post-workout – Banana, 16 ounces of chocolate milk, and a tablespoon of peanut butter.
