Following the release of Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, Zoe Saldana is busy attending this season’s award shows. Because of her many red-carpet appearances, it is crucial for Zoe to keep her body in top-shape. This requires a consistent workout schedule and healthy diet.

Zoe Saldana maintains her lean-look through a combination of diet and exercise. To keep her body toned, Zoe does Pilates three times a week. Zoe enjoys Pilates because it is the “closest thing to dance.” She also relies on her trainer to push her through tough a workout. “I get bored really easily. If I didn’t have a trainer to push me, I’d go walk for about 15 minutes.”

In addition to her Pilates workout, Zoe Saldana follows a healthy, yet flexible, diet. “I love feeling in tune with my body and eating right,” but sometimes “I pig out on pasta.” The day of her interview, Zoe enjoyed lobster ravioli. However, Zoe does not beat herself up when she indulges, instead she eats healthy the next day. This balance makes healthy eating maintainable. Other stars, including Kristin Davis and Hilary Swank, also follow this balanced approach.

Most importantly, Zoe Saldana has a  positive outlook on aging. “I’m very accepting with my age. It’s like notches on your belt: experience, wisdom, and a different kind of beauty. There comes a day when you’ve become comfortable in your skin. But God as my witness, I am going to try to do everything I can to keep this ass together for as long as I possibly can—without going against nature.”

With this attitude and workout routine, there is no doubt that Zoe Saldana will look and feel stunning for years to come. If you want more tips on getting “red-carpet ready” check out our post on preparing for the Oscars!
