Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lighting Thief hits theaters today, and fans excited to catch the new flick from the director of the first two Harry Potter films. In Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Uma Thurman plays the Greek monster Medusa, but has the body of a Greek God.

Uma says the key to staying fit, despite her busy schedule, is always being active. She does not follow a daily routine. Instead, the slim star says, “I just try to workout whenever I can. I don’t have a consistent regimen. I just do my best to try to do something every single day. I think consistency is the key. Just get out there and take a walk. Do half an hour on the treadmill. Just put on your shoes and go.”

However, for her role in the blockbuster Kill Bill, Uma had to prepare for martial arts fighting scenes. While preparing for Kill Bill, Uma trained several hours a day, six days a week. The result? Incredibly sculpted shoulders. Now, you can get sculpted shoulders by following this strength training routine Uma’s personal trainer, Christel Smith, shared with Fitness magazine.

Uma’s Shoulder Sculpting Routine

A. Tie an exercise band to the base of a sturdy object. Stand to right side of band, feet hip-distance apart, holding end in left hand, palm facing body. Keeping elbow slightly bent, lift left arm out to side to shoulder height. Hold 1 count; slowly lower and repeat. Do 12 to 15 reps; switch sides.

B. Untie band and place it under the middle of left foot, feet staggered, holding one end in each hand, palms facing behind you. Raise right hand forward to shoulder height while pulling left hand back. Hold 1 count; lower and repeat, lifting left hand forward and right hand back. Do 12 to 15 reps per side.
