Celebrity Diets: Kate Winslet and Jennifer Aniston

It seems like celebrities are always on a new diet, making it difficult to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Some celebrity diets sound a little wacky . For example, Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly uses the Macrobiotic diet, achieving Zen-balance in what she eats. Although connecting food with spirituality may not be a bad idea (check out Oprah’s new favorite diet book, Women Food and God), many of us need a little more guidance in our food preparation.

Celebrities, however, seem to have little concern for how manageable their diets are. Check out three new, arguably crazy, celebrity diets recently covered by That’s Fit and get the scoop on whether they work!

Baby Food Diet – Reportedly Used by Jennifer Aniston

According to That’s Fit, Jennifer Aniston is reportedly following the Baby Food Diet to prepare for her role “Just Go with It.” Apparently she lost 7 pounds on the plan. The diet was supposedly recommended by Jennifer’s trainer, Tracy Anderson, and consists of eating 14 portions of pureed baby food per day. Perhaps Jennifer Aniston feels pressure to compete with thin “Just Go with It” co-star Nicole Kidman. Although these rumors may be true, Jennifer admittedly indulges in dairy, coffee and wine – so perhaps the diet is just a phase. Either way, the true weight loss from the diet likely results from decreased caloric intake – around 1,200 calories per day. This diet is not maintainable, and severe calorie restriction can slow your metabolism and actually encourage the body to store fat if believes you are starving.

Coconut Diet – Another Jennifer Aniston Favorite

Jennifer Aniston reportedly followed the Coconut Diet for a period of time. Supposedly, eating a lot of coconut oil increases your body’s metabolism and speeds up weight loss. However, most diet experts agree that coconut intake should actually be limited because of its high saturated fat content. Lots of saturated fat increases the risk of raising your cholesterol.

Facial Analysis Diet – Celebrity Fan Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet reportedly used the Facial Analysis Diet to help lose post-pregnancy weight. To follow this plan, you must first get a facial analysis. This analysis evaluates the texture of your skin, eyes, and hair. It then determines food intolerances and creates a unique diet for each person. But, experts believe the true reason the diet works is because followers drink more water, get more sleep, and eat more fruits and veggies.
